100% sustainable wool sweaters for winter with a lifetime warranty
Avani Apparel is now a committed and inclusive fashion brand that aims to enhance all women while advocating for a sustainable future. Our main goal is to have the smallest possible ecological footprint throughout our value chain. While sustainability is at the heart of our business model, design is never sacrificed in honor of ecology.

Uncompromising, local and sustainable fashion
We are extremely rigorous in our sourcing process, selecting the most eco-friendly, local and traceable materials available on the market nowadays. It is of the utmost importance to us that our items don’t travel around the world before they end up in our closets! Our products are made from 100% natural, single-material fabrics such as Tencel, linen, hemp, and modal. Our dyes are 100% ecological and GOTS* or Okeo-Tex 100* certified.
The tailoring is entrusted to two small artisanal workshops based in France near Lyon. The clothes are designed within a 190 km radius of our showroom in Geneva.
In a diehard spirit, the clothes are crafted without zippers and with buttons made of European and natural materials, made using French boxwood or Italian casein from milk, manufactured less than 500 km from Geneva.

The Douceur collection, promoting a unique know-how
In order to keep on treating yourself while respecting our planet, we wanted to complete our clothing range for cold periods with warm sweaters to comfort you during winter, which was lacking until now.
For this first collection, we pushed the local aspect even further: the entire composition comes from a 400 km radius of the store in Geneva, from the breeding of the sheep to the end product by way of processing, dyeing, knitting and manufacturing. Thus, the sweaters that make up the collection are made of 100% natural French wool and 100% recycled wool from Italy, produced by artisans who share our commitment to responsibility and attention to details.
The French wool comes from merino sheep grazing in Arles, from extensive free-range farms where muesling* is strictly forbidden. The recycled wool from Italy comes from scraps of fabric from their own factory in Verona. The latter is the only recycled wool in Europe which is 100% natural and that doesn’t contain other blended fibers such as acrylic or polyamide.
This first collection is composed of two sweaters and a cardigan:
The Lamier reversible sweater with its openwork patterns is made of 100% recycled merino wool from Italy. It can be worn with the V-neck in front or behind for a two-in-one effect, colors available in raw or black:

The Tanaisie cardigan with its diamond patterns and Galalith buttons is made of 100% natural merino wool from Arles (the model on the left is wearing the cardigan with low-rise jeans), color available in raw:

The Ormeau sweater with its twisted patterns is made of 100% natural merino wool from Arles, colors available in sage green or grey:

Objective: together, let’s bring the collection Douceur to life!
We need CHF 20’000.- to create the 3 sweaters of this new collection: this amount would allow us to buy wool to make the sweaters, assemble the 2nd prototype to approve the finishing touches, develop the knitting program, knit and assemble the sweaters together in the proposed colors and pay the shipping costs to Switzerland.
We hope that these unique sweaters will have the opportunity to see the light of day and all these thanks to you. Our goal is to create 120 of them! To make them last over time, we offer you the option of a lifetime warranty on your future sweater or cardigan by repairing or exchanging it.
To those who like to treat themselves conscientiously, who want to change their way of consuming, who want to revolutionize the world of fashion, and be part of the 120 participants who will have a unique sweater, join us in this new adventure!
